Sonos partners with Google for new music streaming options

This means Google’s Play Music is now a part of the Sonos ecosystem with users able to stream their music and playlists to the speakers placed around their home.

And users don’t even have to leave the Google Play Music app on their Android device.

Listeners can link wirelessly to their Sonos speaker system from within Google’s app.

Any Sonos speakers on your wireless network will appear on the Connect To Device list before choosing where you’d like to hear your music.

Of course, it’s also possible to link to your Google Play Music account from within the Sonos controller app as well.

Users can link to Sonos speakers directly from the Google Play Music app

Google Play allows music lovers to store their personal collection online (up to 20,000 tracks) which means you can stream your favourite music from anywhere through an Android device.

There are more than 22 million tracks in the Google Play Music store and listeners can also create their own radio station and enjoy free music based on your musical taste.
