RATING
  • VERDICT
Pros
  • Small and portable
  • Carry strap
  • Surprising audio quality
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • Slight audio lag when watching videos

The Logitech UE Miniroll is one of the best value portable Bluetooth speakers you can buy – it is small and rugged and easy to take anywhere and, most importantly provides quality sound wherever you need it.

Quality audio so you can hear your music wherever you want it. That’s what Logitech Ultimate Ears Miniroll provides despite its small and easily portable size.

The UE Miniroll Bluetooth speaker can fit in the palm of your hand and gets its design inspiration from a river rock.

It weighs just 279g and includes handy strap which makes it easy to attach to your bag, your bike or yourself.

And it’s also durable thanks to the IP67 rating which makes it waterproof, dustproof and drop proof so you can confidently take it with you to the beach, by the pool and anywhere in the great outdoors.

And even though speaker is not much bigger than your phone it still produces a big sound – big enough to fill a room or your campsite, your spot at beach and the pool deck.

For our review we took it away with us on a recent trip to the US so we could enjoy some background music in our hotel room.

At home we’d have it with us in the driveway when we were washing our car or in the yard working in the garden.

And it wouldn’t be just music we listened to either. We also played podcasts and our audiobooks through the UE Mini Roll as well.

Audio quality was impressive considering how small the speaker is.

Speakers needs space to move air around to create that big soundscape but the UE Miniroll had no trouble producing a high volume.

But good audio is not just about volume and output, it’s also about clarity and bass and the Miniroll ticks those boxes as well.

That’s all due to the custom driver and bass radiators along with EQ tuning.

And it all adds up to a very satisfying sound.

Our only issue was the latency when watching videos and scrolling through social media when our phone was paired with our smartphone.

There was a slight delay between hearing the words and the person’s lips moving but it wasn’t too distracting and the videos were still watchable.

Another strong feature of the UE Miniroll is the battery life. The speaker can play for up to 12 hours on a single charge.

That’s all day performance with enough juice to even take you into the night.

The Logitech UE Miniroll is available now and comes in four colours – black, blue, grey and pink. It is priced at $99.95.

VERDICT

The Logitech UE Miniroll is one of the best value portable Bluetooth speakers you can buy – it is small and rugged and easy to take anywhere and, most importantly provides quality sound wherever you need it.
