New iPhone app perfect for once a year Melbourne Cup punters
It’s Melbourne Cup time again so the once-a-year-punters will want to have a bet. A new iPhone app called Horse Betting Made Easy is exactly what they need.
And it certainly lives up to its name and puts the whole betting experience into plain English and simple mathematics.
The app was created by Rebecca Harvey and Naomi Ngawaka from the Gold Coast. They both loved the glamorous side of a day at the races but found placing a bet a little difficult.
“We’ve always loved glamming up for the races but found having a small wager to be quite intimidating,” Ms Harvey said.
“We thing there are a lot of great apps that let people bet but they assume a certain level of knowledge.”
The aim of Horse Betting Made Easy is to take newbie punters through the betting process step by step.
At the end you are left with a with a bet which can be saved within the app so you can sound like an expert when you read it out at the betting window.
The app can explain and recommend bet types depending on how many horses you’d like to bet on for the race.
Horse Betting Made Easy can also cost out your bet for you by taking into account the number of horses you want to include as well as the type of bet you’d like to place.
The app also lets you determine how much you want to spend on the bet up front.
There’s even a glossary of terms so you can keep up with the conversation and know exactly what everyone’s talking about trackside.
Horse Betting Made Easy is available now and is priced at $1.99 and is a must-have accessory for your next day at the races.
