Control your Telstra pre-paid mobile service from Facebook
Telstra is offering a world-first to its customers with a new Facebook app to allow pre-paid customers to control their mobile service from the popular social networking site.
The My Telstra Pre-Paid app is accessible to all customers on Facebook regardless of their mobile’s operating system through Telstra’s 24×7 page.
Now checking, managing and topping up your Telstra pre-paid account is as easy as updating your Facebook status.
Users can check their balance and recharge it securely with a stored debit or credit card as well view up to 180 days of usage and recharge history.
Customers can even put the call out to their Facebook friends if they run out of credit with the “request credit from friends” feature.
More than 100,000 people have already liked the Telstra24x7 Facebook page which includes the promise of an inquiry response within one hour and the 24/7 live chat service.
As well as launching the new Facebook pre-paid app, Telstra is also releasing a new Android app in the coming weeks to make it easier for pre-paid customers to manage their accounts.
The Telstra My Pre-Paid Facebook app is available to download from Telstra’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/telstra24x7.
Once installed the app sits on the left edge of a user’s Facebook page where it is just a click away and, because you’re already signed in to the social networking site, there is no need remember a separate username and password.
