The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, which were unveiled earlier this week at Apple’s launch event, is now available for pre-order with Telstra, Optus, Vodafone and Virgin Mobile revealing their plans and pricing.
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will go on sale on September 22.
Telstra expects the most popular plans will be the iPhone 8 64GB for $99 a month with 20GB data and the iPhone 8 Plus 64GB for $129 a month with 60GB data.
Telstra also confirmed it will be offering the Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular with no pre-orders and an on-sale date of September 22.
The ability to replicate your iPhone’s number will be enabled by Telstra One Number and be offered as a monthly subscription.
Telstra’s plans will be offered with a Buy or Lease option. Leasing the phone means you needs to give the device back in good condition after two years is slightly cheaper per month.
The Buy option is slightly more expensive but you get to keep the iPhone at the end of the two-year contract.
The most competitive Optus iPhone 8 64GB plans costs $100 a month with 40GB data and the iPhone 8 Plus 64GB on a $120 a month plan with 100GB data.
Optus will also offer Apple Watch Series 3 with its new Optus Number Share feature to use the same number with the iPhone.
Optus will begin selling the Apple Watch Series 3 on September 22.
Vodafone allows customers to select a 12, 24 or 36 month interest free period to pay off the device and then add a monthly SIM and data choice.
This means customers are not locked into a contract and, if they decide to leave, they simply pay off the remaining amount on the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus.
Virgin Mobile also came forward with its plans which start as low as $69 a month.
