Ring has released its new Outdoor Camera Plus with improved 2K video resolution and a wider field of view to keep an eye on your home.
The new camera also utilises Ring Vision which offers even greater clarity along with Low Light Sight technology which uses advanced image processing to capture colour and detail even in complete darkness.
“The launch of Outdoor Camera Plus marks a significant milestone in our journey of combining superior image quality with intelligent features to enhance smart security, keeping customers connected to what matters most,” said Mark Fletcher, Ring Managing Director, APAC.
“With 2K resolution, a wide field of view, and Low-Light Sight technology, the new launch delivers our clearest, most detailed footage yet – giving customers insight into what’s happening around their home, no matter where they are.”
Ring Vision combines a high quality lens and premium imaging sensors to create crisp 2K video resolution.
It’s important to have this sort of quality and clarity on a home security video so you can capture potentially vital details.
The Ring Outdoor Camera Plus can be used indoors and outside and has a weather resistant chassis.
It also comes with an easy-to-install mount that can be used on a wall or a ceiling along with the option of powering it by battery, plugging it in or using a solar panel.
Ring also offers a home subscription plan so you can receive smart alerts for people, packages and vehicles and access up to 180 days of event video history.
Ring Home Premium goes a step further and enables features like 24/7 recording when used with Ring cameras hardwired to power.
The Ring Outdoor Camera Plus can also be connected to Alexa-enabled devices so you can see a live view and talk to whoever is in view of the camera.
Ring Outdoor Camera Plus is available to pre-order for $179 through ring.com, amazon.com.au and selected retailers. It will officially go on sale on March 27, 2025.
