Panasonic’s DMR-UBT1 can play 4K discs and record your TV shows in HD
Panasonic has just announced its latest 4K UHD player and high definition recorder so you can enjoy the highest quality entertainment and record your favourite programs with one product.
The Panasonic DMR-UBT1 combines a 4K Ultra High Definition Blu-ray player with a twin HD TV tuner for full definition recording.
Onboard is a 2TB hard drive that can fit up to 1,370 hours of HD TV recordings.
“This unique new model provides Australians with incredible quality and convenience through the brilliant viewing experience of 4K as well as the versatile smarts of Panasonic’s Full HD Recorders– all in the one device,” said Doug Campbell, Panasonic’s category manager for AV and Imaging.
The DMR-UBT1 delivers stunning 4K playback whether you’re watching a movie on 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc or streaming 4K video on demand.
On the recording side, the device has flexible recording and viewing options.
Users can choose to either record to the 2TB internal hard drive or to a Blu-ray/DVD disc.
You can also record entire series of programs with the press of a button and other programs that recognise any keywords you choose.
It’s possible to use the twin tuners to record two free to air programs at once while watching Netflix.
And with Panasonic’s TV Anytime feature you can stream TV or recorded content to your smart device wherever you are in your home or anywhere in the world.
Also onboard is built-in wi-fi connectivity, mirroring from your mobile device, DLNA to access content on other devices on your network and a web browser.
Panasonic’s DMR-UBT1 will be available in late September and will be priced at $1,099.
