Samsung has confirmed its latest Unpacked launch event will take place on July 9 in Brooklyn, New York where we will be introduced to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 folding smartphones.
Samsung’s teaser video and press release says an “Ultra Experience is ready to Unfold” which we assume is in reference to the new range of folding smartphones which will no doubt offer an updated Galaxy AI.
This also adds to the speculation around the flagship Galaxy Z Fold 7 and whether it will be given the Ultra label to match the Galaxy S25 series.
In the release, Samsung says AI is quickly becoming the new user interface aboard a device that will understand the user and their intentions.
The company says this change moves the experience from reaction to anticipation as AI becomes the new UI.
The next-generation Samsung devices – starting with the products to be introduced at the next Unpacked event – are being reimagined with a new AI-powered interface supported by the latest hardware.
A few days ago Samsung also hinted at new AI camera technology which will be part of the new folding smartphones which goes beyond just taking high quality images and videos.
It says cameras will be able to see and understand what you’re looking at and take action.
Samsung says the camera will only get smarter and will not just allow users to capture memories but also enjoy new and more personal experiences.
There have also been many rumours around the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The consensus seems to be a noticeably larger front display and larger inner screen and a much thinner design that will make it not much thicker than a regular smartphone when it’s in the folded position.
All will be revealed on June 9 – which is that stroke of midnight as we begin July 10 in Australia.
And Tech Guide will be on the ground in Brooklyn for the Samsung event and will share all the news, updates and hands-on videos.
