Meta has launched a new range of Ray-Ban AI glasses that will target the biggest group of customers – prescription glasses wearers – to help incorporate the latest technology into their daily lives.
The company, in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, has already sold millions of pair of glasses around the world but from today the new range will support all prescriptions.
The latest range has been designed to support all-day wear with features like over extension hinges, interchangeable nose pads and optician adjustable temple tips.
These are all designed to make the new Ray-Ban Meta range adaptable to individual styles and face shapes to achieve a tailored fit.
The new Ray-Ban Meta Optics Styles will come in two frames – a rectangular Blayzer Optics design available in standard and large, along with a more rounded Scriber Optics frame.
Both have a lightweight and slimmer form and come in matte black, transparent black, and transparent dark olive.
There will also be seasonal colours like transparent matte ice grey and transparent stone beige.
And the new lineup also comes with a new dark brown charging carry case.
The Ray-Ban Meta glasses can shoot images and video and can be controlled by voice commands for true hands-free use.
Users can send text and voice messages and take and make calls right from their glasses.
But the AI features go even deeper.
Wearers can ask what they are looking at and even read text and translate signs.
It can also be used set reminders and answer relevant questions based on your situation.
For example, you may be looking at a piece of gym equipment and you can ask what sort of exercises you can do on that machine.
There will also be more offerings across the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 and Oakley Meta lines with more lens options to make the AI glasses even more useful for all your outdoor activities.
Meta will also be expanding the choices for Oakley Meta Vanguard and HSTN with a brand new combination of lenses and frame colours.
These will include the Prism Dark Golf Lenses that offer contrast and colour boosting vision on the golf course.
