LG will be unveiling a new home robot at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas which can take over chores and do your housework.
LG CLOiD is the company’s first venture into home robotics and has been designed to deliver on LG’s lofty vision “Zero Labour Home, Makes Quality Time”.
It has two articulated arms with seven directions of movement to replicate natural human movements.
On each are arm are five actuated fingers to provide the required dexterity to complete fine and delicate tasks.
The LG CLOiD’s brain is a chipset embedded in its head and enable its functionality and communication through a display, speakers, camera and sensors.
LG CLOiD can also talk with a natural voice.
The robot is powered by LG’s AI – Affectionate Intelligence – which will allow it to sense its surroundings and interact in a natural and user-friendly way.
The robot is designed to improve and refine its responses over time through repeated interactions so it can be even more personalised and able to provide support for everyday tasks.
LG says robotics will play a key role in future growth and innovation.
The company has established the HS Robotics Lab within the Home Appliance Solution Company to have access to differentiated technologies and strengthen its core robotics strategy and capabilities.
LG is currently seeking out research initiatives and strategic partnerships with leading robotics companies in Korea and around the world.
All will be revealed at LG’s booth at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show which kicks off on January 6 in Las Vegas.
