Dreame has outlined its vision of the home of the not too distant future with a range of products and appliances that include several world first technologies.
The company outlined its plans at the Dreame Next event being held at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.
Dreame, which was founded in 2017 in Yu Hao, has blazed a path in home cleaning products but it has its sights set on expanding to other areas including cars, TV, and smartphones.
It is technology driven company with the goal of pushing boundaries and bringing convenience to everyday life.
One executive at the Dreame Next event said the company ethos is develop the technology first and then the great products will follow.
“Touch the ceiling first – then build the staircase,” he said.
Here is what Dreame unveiled:
ROBOT VACUUMS
When it comes to robot vacuums, Dreame has enjoyed worldwide success.
Brand is number one in 30 countries and enjoys up to 40 per cent market share in 40 other countries.
It has seen 227 per cent year-on-year growth in the category.
The latest Dreame robot vacuum is the X60 PRO Ultra which has a two-level flex arm with a 12 cm side reach to get into how to reach spots like edges and corners.
The robotic flex arm is also long enough to reach inside the legs of chairs and stools where a regular robot vacuum couldn’t clean.
Also unveiled was the Aqua 20 Pro Ultra Roller, which combines a robot vacuum with a steam mop.
It can reach temperatures of up to 160°C to handle stubborn stains.
The Dreame robot vacuums have new OmniSight vision and routing and can spot even the smallest obstacles.
Also on display at the Dreame Next conference was the CyberX – the stair climbing robot vacuum which can handle multiple levels of your home.
WET DRY VACUUM
Dreame’s range of wet dry vacuums has more than 1,800 global patents and stands up to rigorous product testing.
The latest model, the Aero Ultra Steam, uses steam, hot water, and foam to achieve a whole new level of clean.
Future models of Dreame’s wet/dry vacuums will incorporate the new Edge Hunter mopping system, which is a robotic arm to reach out and mop in places which were previously inaccessible.
AIR CONDITIONING
Dreame introduced the world’s first dual robotic arm air conditioner which is designed to adapt people in the room and regular airflow.
It has eight motors – four of them in the robotic arms – and 12 Coanda wings that can rotate up to 135 degrees.
This means it can offer precision air flow and a wind avoiding mode which can steer air away from people in the room for draft free comfort while keeping the room at the desired temperature.
The Dreame Z Series of air conditioners are the world’s first fully embedded and integrated air conditioner that fits in ceilings and corners rather than on the wall or floor.
They offer a wider air outlet for better temperature and humidity management.
WASHING MACHINE/DRYER
Dreame unveiled the AI Inverter Washer and Dryer Set L9 Pro which has a built-in design so it sits flush in the wall.
It has an AI digital motor and uses an algorithm to adjust the cycle to the weight and cleanliness level of the load.
It can also use ActiveFoam for added fabric care.
The machine can also electromagnets to change hard water to soft which makes it gentler on clothes.
And the system also has AI-powered voice control so you can tell the machine about how dirty your clothes are so it can choose the appropriate wash cycle for you.
And when it comes to drying it has a PressFree Steam Care system – a 25-minute fast wrinkle removal process so you can take your clothes out of dryer and put them right back in the wardrobe because they don’t need ironing.
Dreame also introduced an Electric Care Closet which looks like four washing machines in one.
There’s a 10kg drum for clothes, a 3kg drum for footwear, a 2.5 kg drum for underwear and a 2.5 kg drum for everything else.
Having four physical drums and separating all the washing means no cross-contamination.
And at the base of the Electric Care Closet is a charger and garage for a robot vacuum.
LAUNDRY ROBOT
The Dreame AI Laundry Robot Z1 has a robotic arm and move around the home using the map generated by the robot vacuum and pick up clothes left on the floor before bringing them to the laundry and placing the load in the washing machine.
And when the cycle is done the AI Laundry robot Z1 can unload the washing machine and place the clothes in the dryer.
REFRIGERATION
Dreame’s FizzFresh Pro is the world’s first refrigerator with on-demand sparkling water.
The integrated sparkling bar can, over 10 years of use, save you up to 10,950 bottles.
Also on board is OxyPause technology, which is an adaptive oxygen regulation system, and a Nafion proton exchange membrane which can make your food last longer.
Dreame says it could add up to 21 days of preserved nutrition.
The refrigerator also has a dynamic air curtain.
When the door is opened it creates a barrier which can keep the cold stays inside and keep the temperature steady.
Dreame also unveiled the N1 refrigerator which can recognise food and see every ingredient and track every nutrient to create personalised diets.
The fridge has a multi-modal human sensing system which can, through a smart ring, smart band, a smart scan, or fingerprint recognition recognise more than 20 health indicators and suggest better food and recipes for that person.
It can create a personalised profile based on the information it gains from your smart device.
For example, it may see you’ve just finished a run and will offer you a cold drink.
Dreame says the refrigerator can recognise more than 10,000 ingredients with 97 per cent accuracy.
KITCHEN
Dreame’s high-tech kitchen includes the Dreame X Series which includes a dishwasher, cooktop, range hood, and oven.
The range hood is 1150mm wide and sits flat on the wall.
It has robotic arms to open panel and contain the fumes through a contactless sensing system.
The cooktop can detect when a pot is removed and it automatically reduces the flame.
The Dreame oven has an extra-large capacity and has mechanical air guides to control heat flow.
There was one feature we saw called the bionic manipulator. This seemed like a next-gen feature.
The example we saw was its ability to turn over a steak while it is cooking in the oven.
The dishwasher has an AI-wide coverage active mechanical spray with 120° constant steam and disinfection with an intelligent drying system.
COFFEE MACHINE
Dreame’s new coffee machine has a 9-level grind system, 19 BAR high pressure, and precision temperature control.
But it also has AI on board and can sync your health details and suggest more suitable beverages for you.
SMART LOCKS
Dreame’s Riponex Smart Lock X20 Ultra is redefining access to our homes.
And it doesn’t use a fingerprint. It actually uses something more secure.
And that is your palm vein which is more secure than a fingerprint and easier to show to lock and unlock the door?
Other features would include hands-free unlock when it recognises your phone via Bluetooth and the ability to install a key on your smartphone, which you simply tap on the lock to open the door.
Other smart door locks will include a 4.5-inch screen on the inside of the door.
This would make it easier for kids and elderly users to recognise who’s at their door.
