Leading drone maker DJI has unveiled the DJI Mini 5 Pro – the first mini drone to feature a 1-inch sensor and take its onboard camera to the next level while achieving a flight time of up to 36 minutes.
The DJI Mini 5 Pro can fit in the palm of your hand but it still has room for the 50-megapixel 1-inch sensor which allows the camera to capture even more detail in any conditions including low light.
It also has a 48mm Med-Tele mode with higher digital zoom resolution so subjects can really pop with greater texture and added depth.
The ability to take portrait shots has also been optimised with enhanced brightness, contrast and more accurate skin tones.
The DJ Mini 5 Pro is also capable of 4K 60fps HDR video with up to 14 stops of dynamic range so you can capture cinematic footage without missing any detail.
The drone also supports slow motion recording at 4K 120fps and can also record 10-bit video using H.265 encoding for improved colour performance.
The Mini 5 Pro can support wide angle 225-degree roll rotation and offers true vertical shooting as well to offer even more possibilities.
True vertical shooting means users can capture photos and videos that are ready to share on social media.
There are also Intelligent Modes like Quickshots Rotate, Timelapse, Spotlight and Waypoint Flight which allows users to add even more creativity to their footage.
On the safety side, the Mini 5 Pro has a forward facing lidar and multiple vision sensors around the body of the drone for Omni directional obstacle sensing.
It can detect and avoid obstacles during flight or return paths.
The Mini 5 Pro can also memorise flight routes which means users can achieve a safe take off and return even without a satellite signal.
The upgraded ActiveTrack 360 provides customizable tracking to suit different scenarios and includes a more stable and safer tracking performance than earlier models.
Other intelligent features include MasterShots which offer high level camera movement templates whether it’s a portrait, close up or q long distance shot.
Then there’s Quick Shots including Dronie, Circle, Helix, Rocket, Boomerang and Asteroid which makes it easy to capture stylish short clips.
Free Panorama is another mode to create seamless panoramic shots which are created by stitching multiple images together.
The DJI Mini 5 Pro can transfer files to another device at up to 100MB/s per second via Wi-Fi.
