D-Link has partnered with Kwilt – a company that created a dynamic platform that allows users to access all their photos no matter where they are located – in a single stream.
D-Link routers DIR-885L and DIR-895L are already Kwilt-enabled and can gather your images from social media, cloud storage and mobile devices like phone and tablets into one photo stream.
Owners of these routers can enable Kwilt by upgrading their device’s firmware through the router’s web-based interface.
The D-Link DIR-882 will also offer Kwilt compatibility in early 2018 while updated models with Kwilt features will be shipping in the next few months.
Kwilt offers access to not only cloud storage, social media and smartphone photos but also to home-based photo albums stored on USB drives connected to the D-Link router.
This gives users access to their own images in the safe and private environment of their very own cloud that costs nothing. That can save you thousands of dollars on cloud storage.
Kwilt will work across iOS and Android devices along with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
It can also be integrated with the Kik Messenger app, Facebook Messenger and Apple Messages so you can enjoy and share your memories from anywhere.
“In our current photo-centric digital age, we know our customers need innovative and effective solutions to manage their photos and share their memories,” said Anny Wei, President and CEO of D-Link.
“D-Link’s partnership with Kwilt combines performance, quality and creativity to satisfy the needs of our customers and establish our roles as leaders in the connected home industry.”
Marc-Antoine Benglia, Founder and CEO of Kwilt said: “The Kwilt platform offers consumers a unique, seamless and secure way to access and enjoy all their digital memories wherever they are stored, solving the user-generated content fragmentation problem we all face.
“We are thrilled to welcome D-Link to the Kwilt ecosystem. Their market position as a proven innovator in the connected-home sphere matches Kwilt’s focus on bringing pioneering solutions to consumers.”
