Netgear releases Nighthawk RS100 – its most affordable Wi-Fi 7 router ever

Netgear has released its most affordable Wi-Fi 7 router to date – the Nighthawk RS100 – to make it easier for customers to invest in the latest in wireless technology for their home.

The Netgear RS100 offers a secure and high performance home networking solution at a time when we are connecting even more devices to our networks.

With Wi-Fi 7, customers can enjoy faster and more reliable speeds.

It is up to 2.4x faster than Wi-Fi 6 and can support wider bandwidth activities like 4K streaming, AI-powered activities and cloud gaming.

More and more products – like laptops, smartphones and tablets – are being released with Wi-Fi 7 connectivity to enable faster connections, smoother streaming and lag-free gaming.

Users can connect up to 50 devices like security cameras, smart home devices and speakers to the RS100 and it will offer wireless coverage over an area of 185 square metres.

“For nearly 30 years, we’ve been at the forefront of home networking, empowering families and businesses to stay ahead of the connectivity curve,” says Sandeep Harpalani, VP of Product Management at Netgear.

“With the Nighthawk RS100, we’re delivering next-gen Wi-Fi 7 speeds and industry-leading security at a price point that makes upgrading more accessible than ever.”

The Netgear RS-100 also offers strongest security and comes with next generation encryption, automatic firmware updates, support for VPN’s and WPA3 security.

Users can also create a guest Wi-Fi option to keep your network secure.

The RS100 comes with a 30-day trial of Netgear Armor powered by Bitdefender which offers threat detection in real time and AI-powered alerts for every device connected to your network.

The RS100 also includes Netgear smart parental controls which he’s free with the basic plan with the option to upgrade to a premium plan after a 30 day trial.

The Netgear Nighthawk RS100 is priced at $259 and available now from netgear.com/au and other major retailers.
