Rode releases Wireless Micro microphone system for smartphone content creators
Australian company Rode has unveiled a new pocket-sized microphone system – the Wireless Micro – which provides high quality audio for smartphone content creators.
Rode has been leading the way with high quality wireless microphones and introduced the world’s first compact wireless microphone system with the Wireless GO.
But the new Wireless Micro is reinventing the space once again to enhance smartphone content creation with Rode’s wireless audio technology and quality.
The Rode Wireless Micro is small enough to fit in your pocket and includes two tiny microphones and a receiver which can connect directly to your smartphone port without any cables – USB-C and Lightning versions are available.
The result is a compact and neat recording setup.
The two microphone transmitters are tiny and lightweight and include magnetic clips and attachments to easily mount on a subject.
The microphones are housed in acoustic chambers which are designed to capture clear audio while reducing wind noise at the same time.
This combines with Rode’s excellent wireless audio transmission and intelligent gain assist technology so users will have clear and balanced audio every time.
The microphones and receiver are housed in a small protective charging case which can deliver two full recharges for up to 21 hours of battery life.
Key Features of the Wireless Micro:
– In-built microphones and automatic pairing makes it incredibly easy to use
– Receiver connects directly to a smartphone with no cables required (USB-C or Lightning version available)
– Patent-pending acoustic chamber design purpose-built to capture exceptionally clear and intelligible audio while mitigating wind noise
– Intelligent GainAssist technology automatically controls audio levels for perfectly balanced sound in any application
– Pocket-sized charging case provides additional two charges for up to 21 hours battery life, making it the ideal grab-and-go companion
– Ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight form factor with a sleek design for discreet on-camera presence and elegant aesthetic
– Additional furry windshields included
– Works seamlessly with RØDE’s free iOS video app, RØDE Capture
– Available in both black and white
The Rode Wireless Micro is available now and is priced at $US149.
Despite being an Australia company, Rode did not provide an Australian price.
The company said this was due to regional pricing variations affected by in-built taxes in certain regions.
Tech Guide did some digging and found the product’s Australian price of $239.95 at Ted’s Cameras.
