D-Link launches new 4G LTE router so you can connect from anywhere
D-Link has released its new DWR-956 Wireless AC1200 4G LTE Router which includes Gigabit Ethernet ports to connect other devices as well as VoIP calling capability – an ideal product for those who need to work remotely.
The DWR-956 has a slot for a 4G data SIM and can achieve download speeds of up to 150Mbps and upload speeds up to 50Mbps.
The router can then create a wireless network for your home or office or any area that you have to covert to an office in a hurry.
The DWR-956 is dual band and also supports WPA/WPA2, MAC address filtering, WPS for easier device connection and WMM.
On the go it is also possible to turn off the wireless network to allow connectivity from only the Gigabit LAN ports.
It’s also possible to create a guest wi-fi network with a separate password with security settings. Guest devices will have no access to the other connected products on the main network.
The DWR-956 can even connect an analogue phone for calls via the FXS port with calls via the internet also possible – depending on your ISP’s service settings.
For added security the D-Link 4G LTE Router includes a built-in firewall to minimise cyber threats.
It also supports IPsec which means it’s possible to create secure VPN tunnels to a school or corporate network.
The D-Link DWR-956 Wireless AC1200 4G LTE Router is available now for $349.95.
