Microsoft has unveiled a new Surface laptop and tablet making the Copilot+ family of products even larger and empowering customers to be more creative and productive.

Microsoft revealed a new 13-inch Surface Laptop and a 12-inch Surface Pro tablet which offers thin and light design but that deliver power and performance.

These new PCs unlock AI tools that you can use every day to complete your tasks and create more efficient workflows.

Users can now opt in to reopen content that you saw or created on your PC privately and securely with Recall.

Improved Windows Search will live up to its name and offer a more precise way to search through images and documents to find what you’re looking for.

13-INCH SURFACE LAPTOP – AVAILABLE FROM MAY 20

The new 13-inch Surface Laptop is the thinnest and lightest laptop Microsoft has ever produced at just 15.6mm and 1.22kg.

At these dimensions, the new Surface Laptop is made to be taken anywhere.

It has been crafted from anodized aluminium that comes in three colours – Ocean, Violet and classic Platinum.

Under the hood is a Snapdragon X Plus processor with a 45 TOPS NPU making it 50 per cent faster than Surface Laptop 5.

Microsoft says the new Surface Laptop is also faster than the MacBook Air with M3.

The new Surface Laptop also delivers on the battery side with the longest battery life of any Surface that came before it with after 23 hours of video playback and up to 16 hours of web browsing.

It also has universal USB-C fast charging so you can get back to 100 per cent quickly.

Also onboard is a 13-inch full HD touch screen display with even thinner bezels so you can focus on what you’re working on, streaming or creating.

And the new Copilot+ key literally puts the power of AI at your fingertips.

SURFACE PRO 12-INCH – AVAILABLE FROM MAY 20

The new Surface Pro offers the same versatility of the 2-in-1 form factor and, by adding a keyboard, also the functionality of a laptop.

But at all times you have the portability of a tablet which has a built in adjustable kickstand so you can position it anyway.

The Surface Slim Pen can now magnetically attach to the back of the tablet for charging and secure storage.

The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon X Plus processor and includes a powerful 45 TOPS NPU.

The new Surface tablet weighs in at just 686g with a thickness of only 7.8mm.

The Surface Pro 12-inch keyboard has also been reimagined to give you a laptop like experience.

It attaches quickly and easily and lies flat to provide acquired a comfortable typing experience.

It has a full size backlit keyboard and customizable precision touchpad.

And to make it easier to sketch or write on the Surface Pro, the new keyboard now folds back completely flat against the device.

The keyboard is available in three new colours – Slate, Ocean and Violet.

The Surface Pro is priced from $1,499, the Surface keyboard is $275.

The new Surface Laptop is priced from $1,699.

The new Surface Pro 12-inch and Surface Laptop 13-inch will go on sale on May 20.
