We’ve got lots of great photos on our phones but how many do we print? Not many. But with the new HP Sprocket Select – you can instantly print your images on the spot.
The device is slightly smaller than a smartphone and light enough to carry everywhere.
The HP Sprocket Select connects to your device via Bluetooth and has a companion app that you can authorise to access your camera roll.
The app also makes it possible to print from your social media platforms and also create collages.
It uses special Zink Zero Ink photo paper and you get one pack of 10 with the unit.
The paper is loaded inside the device by simply lifting off the magnetic lid.
The printouts are 30 per cent larger than the original HP Sprocket and they are also stickers.
All you need to do is remove the backing paper and stick it wherever you like.
HP Sprocket Select has a built-in rechargeable battery that’s got enough power to print up to 35 photos.
It recharges through the microUSB port and an indicator light lets you know when it’s on and when it’s charging.
Users can also have a bit of fun with their image before printing it out through the Sprocket app.
Through the app you can add stickers to the image along with a frame, text, filters and tags to decorate your picture.
And for Christmas it’s possible to make a gift tag from your favourite images.
The Sprocket Select can print both landscape and portrait images but the frames and text and filters are mainly suited to portrait-shaped pictures.
The HP Sprocket Select is a great way to enjoy and share your favourite images.
It’s a lot of fun to take it along to your next dinner party or get together and capture, print and share your images with the guests.
The HP Sprocket Select is priced at $199 and is available now from JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Officeworks, Big W and HP.
