Apple has released the Instagram app for iPad so you can enjoy viewing content, creating content and connecting with friends on a larger scale.
Instagram for iPad will work on any iPad model that supports iPad OS 15.1 and later.
Users will be able to enjoy the entertaining reels content on a bigger display.
Instagram for iPad has been redesigned to offer a big screen experience so you can lean back and be entertained.
And, like the iPhone app, users will be able to see stories at the top and then connect with people in your circle.
There is a new Following tab which allows you to toggle between All, Friends and Latest to see their content.
All will recommend posts and reels from people you follow.
Friends will recommend posting reels from accounts you’re following but that are also following you back while Latest is just a chronological list of posts and reels from accounts you follow with the most recent at the top of the list.
Users can also tap into the messaging section and see their inbox and catch up on a DM thread.
And thanks to the larger viewing area on the iPad, the Instagram app lets you expand the comments while watching a reel so you don’t miss a thing.
Instagram for iPad has been built to support the new multitasking/windowing system in iPadOS 26.
The app can also be viewed full screen mode in either portrait or landscape orientation.
Instagram for iPad is now available to download from the App Store for free.
