HOMELife Technology has released a wi-fi-enabled smart speaker with a difference. It’s called Tochie and is a remote care device where family and carers can record messages and reminders for their loved ones to be played at specific times.
Tochie is designed for those who need additional care and support while still being able to live independently.
Tochie, unlike other smart speakers, is never listening and can be accessed by family, friends and loved ones via their smartphone to send reminders for self-care, household tasks and messages of love.
The devices uses a family calendar interface and the only voices the user will hear are from family and friends.
It’s also possible to type a message and the speaker will read it out loud at the designated time.

Record your message. Send messages of love, or reminders for medication, personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, a joke of the day, a favourite poem, goodnight messages and more.
STEP 3: Schedule Your Message
Set your message playback time/options.
Scheduling options include:
– Which Tochie to play the message on.
– Time and Date.
– Multiple times can be set per day.
– Repeat schedule (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
– End date
– If confirmation is required.
