Ecovacs launches new Deebot OZMO 950 robot vacuum with multi-floor mapping

Ecovacs Robotics has just launched its latest robot vacuum and mop – the Deebot OZMO 950 –  can now also operate  on two and three story Australian homes thanks to its multi-floor mapping.

A global leader in home robotics, Ecovacs is packed with numerous features into the Deebot OZMO 950 but has  remarkably managed to keep the cost under $1000.
“Ecovacs Robotics designed the Deebot OZMO 950 to meet growing consumer demand for a smarter, more affordable vacuum robot with premium features that include vacuuming, mopping and smart-home capabilities,” said Karen Powell, Head of Australia and New Zealand for Ecovacs Robotics.

“Our combination of navigation technology, energy-efficiency, longer battery life for bigger homes, and a new design for the robot to enhance mobility and cleaning efficiency ensure a “Nothing Missed” experience, both in terms of home cleanliness and in the amount of quality time you can instead spend with the ones you love.”

The Deebot OZMO 950 provides even more thorough cleaning thanks to its revolutionary pressure retention system –  Floating Brush 2.0 –  and superior suction power.

Onboard is an optimised suction channel design that ensures high vacuum pressure yet keeping noise levels low.

The unit can adapt to different types of floor surfaces and has a tangle free intake capable of collecting hair and pet further while the main brush provides a deeper more thorough clean particularly on carpets.

The Deebot OZMO 950 can vacuum and mop in one go.

It has an on-board 250ml water tank  with an electronically controlled water pump which precisely controls the water flow speed at four different levels to tackle dirt or dried liquid on the floor without soaking the cleaning cloth.

The device also has the latest Smart Navi 3.0 Laser Mapping and Navigation technology so we can scan and map your home to plan the most efficient cleaning path.

And the robot can store multiple maps of a home’s different levels so no part of the home misses out.

The Deebot OZMO 950 platform design allows it to easily cross obstacles including door sills that are up to 20 mm in height.

The unit itself has a height of only 93mm which makes it the thinnest body of its kind and it can easily fit under sofas and other furniture to clean your entire floor.

Under the hood is a 5,200mAh  battery which can run for up to 200 minutes and clean up to 200 m² on a single charge.

And don’t worry, the Deebot OZMO 950 is smart enough to return to its charging stand if it needs to top up the battery and continue cleaning.

There is also a companion app which allows users to monitor and control the device from anywhere along with creating virtual boundaries for both vacuuming and mopping.

It’s also possible to view the visual maps generated by the Smart Navi 3.0 technology so you can assign cleaning areas, set cleaning schedules is switch between modes.

And it is also compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa so it can her controlled with your voice and work with other smart devices.

The Deebot OZMO 950 will be available before the end of October at JB Hi-Fi, Godfrey’s and Appliances Online. It will be priced at $999.

Stay tuned to Tech Guide for a complete review of the Deebot OZMO 950 in the coming days.
