Browse channels to view on your TV or on the go with the Fetch TV app

The Fetch TV set-to-box is your gateway to free-to-air content along with a selection of premium content including monthly free movies and the ability to rent the latest titles.

The device itself has a 1TB hard drive that can store up to 585 hours of standard definition recordings.

Viewers can pause, rewind and record live TV as well as record upcoming programs or an entire series.

You can also record two channels at once while you’re watching another show and also see what’s coming up on the comprehensive EPG (electronic program guide).

And now with the free iOS and Android app you can control, plan and watch your content from anywhere.

The Fetch TV app lets you browse movies to watch either on your TV or on your device

In fact, the Fetch TV app is the first in Australia to offer viewers the ability to watch free-to-air TV shows on the move streamed on a smartphone or tablet.

From your device with the app you can browse the TV and movie guide, plan and set recordings as well as control the Fetch TV set-top-box.

But the best part is the ability to watch either live TV, on-demand content or your recordings from anywhere on your device.

Your device needs to be connected to the same network as the Fetch TV set-top-box and from there it’s easy to link the smartphone or tablet in the settings.

When you’re home you can watch on your device anywhere on your wireless network.

The advantage of this, apart from the convenience of watching anywhere at home, is the ability to watch anything on your device no matter what is being seen or recorded from the set-top-box on the TV.

This means no more arguments about what to watch. If you disagree the only thing that needs to be decided is who gets to watch their show on the TV and who has to watch in their smartphone or tablet.

We also like how you can browse the movies on your device and, when you find the film you want to watch, you can either choose to start playing it on the TV or right their in your hands on your personal screen.

But if you’re out and about you can also use the Fetch TV app over 3G and 4G to watch your live or recorded programs and on-demand content.

It should ne noted that streaming over 3G and 4G will have an impact on your monthly data allowance.

The Fetch TV app is available now for iOS and Android users on smartphones and tablets

The Fetch TV service has grown considerably in the past 12 months with even more choices for movies, TV channels and apps like YouTube and NASA TV.

These apps will take advantage of your home broadband connection and will also count against your monthly data quota as well.

Viewers have the option of adding up to 30 extra channels with packages including channels like MTV, Disney, EPSN, E!, Fox Sports and National Geographic.

If you’re interested in taking up the Fetch TV package you can sign up through partners including iiNet, Optus and Internode from as little as $10 a month.
