LG fires up to release its new flagship 9.1.5 channel soundbar at CES

LG is set to introduce the new line-up of audio products at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas which will deliver a new level of audio experience for home cinema, music and gaming.

LG will spearhead its range with the premium LG soundbar S95QR which has an output of 810W and 9.1.5 channels of surround sound.

The soundbar has five upfiring channels including a central upfiring speaker – three on the sound bar and two in the separate rear speakers.

This will make the soundstage even larger for an immersive and realistic experience.

Audio plays a huge part in elevating a home cinema experience and the LG soundbar centre upfiring speaker will also provide clear dialogue while making Dolby Atmos and DTS:X content sound better than ever before.

It is also IMAX Enhanced compatible and will be able to provide stunning 3D audio when watching compatible content.

The LG S95QR has several improvements including new speaker drivers, speaker chambers and subwoofer.

The larger woofers offer a deep and resonant bass to replicate the sound of a real cinema.

The rear speakers have also been improved and can distribute sound evenly across a wide 135-degree space so users will have even more flexibility with speaker placement. This will be a huge benefit for those with smaller rooms.

The soundbar has a sensitive receiver which means you can place the rear speakers and subwoofer further away without sacrificing sound quality.

This more stable wireless connection means there be minimal drops or lags in audio output so as not to disturb your viewing and listening.

Also on board is Meridian Auto Horizon technology in music mode so you can up mix 2 channel audio to 7.1 channels for more realistic acoustic surround sound.

And gamers will benefit from this as well with the LG sound bar offering Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) so it’s a perfect fit for console gamers who want the onscreen action to be in perfect sync with the audio.

There’s also support for high quality music streaming services so the LG soundbar can be your favourite audio speaker as well to hear your personal playlists and favourite artists.

The LG S95QR will work with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and other AI assistants via your smart device so you will be able to control streaming music, adjust volume and change sound modes all using your your voice.

The LG WOWCAST Wi-Fi audio dongle also means customers can enjoy lossless multi-channel audio without the need to run an unsightly cable to the TV.

When connected to a compatible LG TV, the new LG soundbar makes the most of the TV’s advanced AI Sound Pro feature to offer clear and lifelike sound.

And that cross compatibility means LG TV owners can use the one remote control for both the TV and the soundbar.

The soundbar can also be optimised to your room thanks to the enhanced AI Room Calibration so the sound can be tailored to your space.

It can analyse the dimensions of your room to provide a more accurate low frequency audio which has been calibrated for even higher accuracy.

The new LG soundbar will be on show at LG’s CES booth in January.

Pricing and availability for Australian customers has yet to be announced.
