Samsung confirms Unpacked event in Paris to launch its new Galaxy Z folding smartphones

Samsung has confirmed it will be holding a launch event on July 10 in Paris on the eve of the Olympic Games to launch its latest range of Galaxy Z folding devices infused with Galaxy AI.

Samsung will host Galaxy Unpacked in Paris less than three weeks before the Olympic Games begin.

Samsung is a worldwide partner sponsor for the Olympic Games and has been for more than 30 years.

The event will be streamed live at samsung.com.au and Samsung’s YouTube channel at 11:00 PM AEST on July 10.

At this event Samsung will announce the Galaxy Z Fold 6 the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and a brand new wearable – the Galaxy Ring.

The company is also likely to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7.

Traditionally Samsung has held this event in cities around the world including Seoul last year and, in previous years, in New York.

So what can we expect to see?

This mid-year Unpacked event is usually to unveil its latest folding smartphones.

This year it will be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6, according to reports, will have a squarer design, a wider 6.3-inch front display and a 7.6-inch internal screen.
The Galaxy Z Flip ^ is expected to follow the same design language as the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

It is likely to have a 6.7-inch internal display and a 3.4-inch cover display and will be available in a range of exciting new colours.

And like the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the new Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will also include Galaxy AI.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is also expected to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event and it will be reportedly have a 40mm display.

It will be powered by a 3Nm processor with greater power efficiency and a longer battery life.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring was teased back in January at the Galaxy S24 launch.

This new wearable will include an ECG sensor, sleep tracking, fertility tracking and other health and exercise features.

All the new Samsung products announced at Galaxy Unpacked are likely to go on sale around July 24 with pre-orders kicking off on July 11.

Pricing will be announced at the event on July 10.
