Modern technology gives us many things.

Alcatel redefines value with the feature-packed 1SE smartphone that’s under $200

TCL communications has redefined the meaning of smartphone value with the launch of the Alcatel 1SE in Australia – which is packed with impressive features but still priced under $200.

Alcatel has always been a brand that has proven you don’t need to spend big money to have an impressive smartphone.

The Alcatel 1SE has a 6.22-inch HD+ display, an AI triple rear camera system and a 4000mAh battery.

Over the years Alcatel has packed numerous features into its sub $200 devices starting back in 2016 with the POP4 which included an 8-megapixel rear camera and an 18:9 display

2018 saw Alcatel introduce the 3V which included an even larger and higher quality display and an even better battery life along with a dual camera system .

Now in 2020 the Alcatel 1SE dramatically illustrates how far things have come in such a short time.

“Affordable smartphones play an essential role in the industry, offering accessibility to technology to those who can’t or don’t want to fork out the exorbitant cost of a new flagship smartphone,” says Sam Skontos, VP and Regional Managing Director, South East Asia & Pacific, for Alcatel.

“We take pride in being able to really drive inclusions and offer consumers features that were in much more expensive devices just a few short years ago.”

The Alcatel 1SE has a 6.22-inch HD+ Vast Display with 87.18 per cent screen to body ratio which provides an immersive experience for users .

This larger display offers vibrant colours and is housed with 2.5D glass on the front which extends to a radical texture on the back panel for a great look and feel in your hands.

On the camera side, the device’s triple camera system allows users to capture stunning images and videos whether they are shooting everything from food to fireworks through the 13-megapixel main lens, 5-megapixel super wide angle lens and the 2-megapixel depth lens.

Also on board is AI scene detection which can automatically adjust the settings on the fly to capture 12 different subjects and scenes and optimise the colour detail and lighting of your image.

Users can also capture wider shots with the 120-degree wide angle lens or focus on a person with portrait mode which offers a blurred background for studio-like pictures.

The front-facing 5 megapixel camera with LCD flash is ideal for those wanting to snap a sharp selfie on the move.

The Alcatel 1SE is powered by an octa-core processor so it can handle multitasking and offers a responsive user experience.

On the security side, there’s also a fingerprint reader on the rear panel.

And with a 4000mAh high-capacity battery and 5V2A charging you’ve got plenty of power to get you through the day and the ability to recharge faster when needed.

The device has a dedicated Google Assistant button on the side which gives users a shortcut to endless information to help them get through their day .

The Alcatel 1SE is available at JB Hi-Fi in-store and online for $199.
