Alcatel launches its 2019 range of feature-rich yet affordable smartphones

Alcatel has unveiled its latest range of value-driven smartphones which include numerous rich features and impressive designs but at truly affordable prices.

The new line-up includes the Alcatel 1s, Alcatel 1x and the Alcatel 3 and continue to provide serious bang for your buck in the competitive smartphone market.

Alcatel’s new devices will be available through Australia’s three major carriers along with retailers JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks and Australia Post and for the first time will be sold through Amazon Australia.

ALCATEL 1X (2019) – $179

The Alcatel 1x has a 5.5 inch FullView HD+ 18:9 display with a screen to body ratio of 83 per cent so you’re getting a larger screen in a small form factor.

It has dual 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear cameras with depth sensor along with a five megapixel front-facing camera.

On the security side, users will also find Face Key which unlocks the phone in 0.7 seconds just by looking at it.

The  Alcatel 1x will be available from Amazon and Officeworks.

ALCATEL 1S – $199

The Alcatel 1s has the same display as the 1x but is running the latest Android Pie operating system and has 3GBRAM, 32GB internal storage and an octa-core processor.

Users can unlock the device with their fingerprint and enjoy all day operation thanks to the 3060mAh battery.

The  Alcatel 1s will be available from Amazon.

ALCATEL 3 – $279

The Alcatel 3 has larger 5.9-inch 19.5:9 longer narrower display and a snapdragon processor under the hood plus 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

It has a dual rear camera system that includes 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel lenses plus an 8-megapixel front camera.

For security, there is both a fingerprint reader and Face Key to unlock the device instantly.

The  Alcatel 3 will be available from Amazon and Officeworks.

“We continue to redefine what is possible in a sub-$300 device, with Australians more aware than ever before that it is possible to deliver exciting, innovative smartphones that don’t demand top dollar or compromise on performance,” said Sam Skontos, VP and Regional Managing Director of South East Asia and Pacific Alcatel Mobile.

“In 2018 we sold close to one million devices in Australia, and this year we’re taking it to another level with flagship-style features yet won’t break the bank.

“Today marks the start of an exciting launch period for Alcatel and our related brands, with our product also more widely available than ever before with new open-channel partners including Officeworks, and our burgeoning presence on Amazon, as we are all about accessibility as well as affordability.”
