In anticipation of the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens next month, HP has unveiled a Star Wars themed laptop to provide a unique computing experience for die-hard fans.
The HP Star Wars Special Edition laptop, created in collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm, has a 15.6-inch display and was inspired by the Galactic Empire with a battle-worn distressed design.
Galactic Empire is written in the unique Star Wars Aurebesh font on the hinge with stormtroopers decorating the keyboard.
The laptop’s track pad also has a design that mirrors the X-Wing Fighter Guidance System and a red backlit keyboard completes the picture.
Under the rather impressive hood is the sixth generation Intel Core i5 processor, a 1TB hard drive, 8GB RAM and a dedicated 2GB NVIDIA GeForce 940M processor.
Audio has also been enhanced with B&O Play and dual speakers so it sounds as good as it looks when watching movies and listening to music.
There are also some software enhancements built into the Windows 10 operating system including sound, wallpaper and screensaver collections.
Users can choose a Star Wars-themed wallpaper to replace the standard Windows 10 images with eight categories of sounds including R2D2 and a lightsabre.
There are also Star Wars galleries to explore that include original posters, concept art, characters, costumes and settings.
The new HP Star Wars Special Edition laptop is on sale now and is priced at $1,299. There is also a Star War Special Edition mouse ($49) and sleeve ($49).
The Force is strong with this one.
