Leading cyber safety company Norton has released a new range of AI-powered features and integrated them into the company’s cyber safety products to offer greater protection against the widest range of cyber threats we’ve ever seen. Scams can trigger a series of attacks and losses including identity theft and financial fraud. Norton says 90 per cent of all cyber threats come from scams and social engineering threats. This figure has tripled since 2021. New research has found that 321 cyber threats are blocked every second by major cyber safety brands, with social media the new main target for scammers. Gen, the global leader in consumer cyber safety and parent company of Norton, released its findings which showed social media is the new scammer playground with social engineering and tax making up 86 per cent of all blocked threats. This new threat report shows a surge in online threats which closed out a record breaking year in 2024 when 2.55 billion cyber threats were blocked between October and December. DXOMARK awarded the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra a score of 160 which gave it the number one rank ahead of Google Pixel 9 XL on 158 and the Samsung Galaxy S25+ and S25 – both on 157.
