Bose releases SoundTouch 10 speaker with Bluetooth and wi-fi onboard

Bose has released a new wireless speaker to join its existing range of SoundTouch products that take advantage of the growing customer trend of streaming music via Bluetooth and around the home’s wi-fi network.

The SoundTouch 10 is Bose’s new entry level wireless speaker and has both Bluetooth and wi-fi onboard to enjoy your favourite songs or radio stations anywhere in your home.

When using Bluetooth, listeners are able to stream content from their smartphone or tablet to a single speaker.

But because the Bose SoundTouch 10 can also connect through wi-fi, that same content is able to be streamed to multiple SoundTouch speakers in your home.

The Bose SoundTouch 10 is available in black or white

The allows customers to create a multi-room audio set-up through their home network and either play different music on different speakers or play the same tunes through all of them.

And it can all be controlled through the intuitive SoundTouch app which also brings your own music collection from various devices on your home network as well as from popular music services like Spotify, Pandora and Deezer.

The app makes it easy to set up to six presets which correspond to the six buttons on top of the SoundTouch speakers in the Bose range – including the new SoundTouch 10.

So that means it’s possible to simply walk up to one of the SoundTouch speakers in your home and press just one preset button to be listening to music or a favourite radio station.

The Bose SoundTouch 10 speaker is 21.2cm high and 14.1cm wide so it’s not going to have a huge footprint wherever it is placed in your home.

Bose has managed to produced a large sound from a small device

It combines Bose’s digital signal processing with an all-new Unidome 2.5-inch transducer.

The result is a huge and crisp sound coming from a relatively small product which has always been Bose’s signature.

The SoundTouch 10 joins the Bose family of wireless multiroom speakers – the larger SoundTouch 20 and SoundTouch 30 Series III models which also have Bluetooth and wi-fi onboard.

The SoundTouch family – SoundTouch 30, SouthTouch 20 and the new SoundTouch 10
