The LG Tone Free FN7 earphones offer impressive audio quality and bass for your music, clear sound for your calls, decent battery life and a charging case that will kill bacteria. And they’re also priced competitively to attract even more customers.

There is no shortage of wireless earphones but how many of them include UV Nano Self Cleaning technology which can kill 99.9 per cent of bacteria? Only one and it’s the new LG Tone Free FN7.

This time out the LG Tone Free FN7 packs in Active Noise Cancellation so you can get rid of germs and also the ambient sound around you.

Created in partnership with Meridian, the earphones have 6mm driver units on board and have been tuned to offer impressive clarity and thumping bass.

Onboard is Meridian’s Headphone Spatial Processing (HSP) which creates a pleasing soundscape that will make you forget the sound is coming from a small pair of earphones.

And that added bass comes courtesy of a redesigned diaphragm which is made of a high quality silicon material

Users can go into the Tone Free app to customise the sound even further with four Meridian EQ presets and two customizable EQ modes.

The earphones have a bud and stalk design with the tip angled to rest comfortably and securely in your ear.

The LG Tone Free FN7 earphones have Active Noise Cancellation which utilises two of the three microphones to detect ambient sound and cancel it out.

The level of noise cancellation is quite impressive so the world can fade away to allow you to enjoy your music and other content with even more clarity.

There’s also another microphone located at the bottom of the stalk which can pick up and amplify your voice while suppressing background noise so your calls are loud and clear no matter where you are.

There is also ambient sound mode aboard for those times when you have to be aware of your surroundings.

This is useful when you are out on the street near traffic, to pick up an announcement on public transport or to have a quick chat with someone that you run into without the need to take the earphones out.

The LG earphones can sense when they’re in your ears and immediately pair with your phone.

The sensors can also pause your music instantly when you take them out.

The LG Tone Free FN7 intuitive touch controls which offer haptic feedback so you know the earphones have identified what you want to do whether it’s navigating your music or answering and ending calls.

If you happen to own an LG TV you can also connect the LG Tone Free FN7 via Bluetooth and control the volume, change channels and even mute the TV

The earphones are IPX4 rated so whether you’re walking or exercising in the rain or sweating it out in the gym, you can keep on listening without any worry.

What’s really impressive about the LG Tone Free FN7 is the seven hours of battery life from the buds with a further 14 hours from the charging case for a total of 21 hours of playback.

There’s also a quick charge function which means just five minutes of charging will provide up to 60 minutes of listening time.

And the compact case can also be charged wirelessly when you place it on a Qi charging mat.

The charging case includes UV nano self-cleaning technology which kills 99.9% of bacteria after just 10 minutes.

You can see this working when the blue light is activated inside the case. But it only works when the charging case is closed and connected to a power source using the charging cable.

The LG Tone Free FN7 earphones are available now and are priced at $229.
