The Jabra Sport Wireless+ fit over each ear like a hearing aid and connects to your device using Bluetooth.
The first and most obvious benefit is the fact there are no cables that are going to get in your way. No more snagging a cable at the gym or on the run which can interrupt your workout.
And with its over-the-ear design, the Jabra Sport Wireless+ earphones lock in to place securely although it did take us a little while to fit these on our ears comfortably.
There are seven different silicon ear tips which also help users find the best fit for you.
We did rip one of these tips in half while trying to fit it on the earpiece. Luckily there were a few others to choose from.
There are controls on the earpieces to adjust volume and skip track so there’s no need to touch the paired device while you’re running or in the gym.
And you can also make and receive calls with the earphones thank to the omni-directional microphone that can eliminate background noise and help you hear the person at the other end of the line a lot easier.
One of our favourite features of the Jabra Sport Wireless+ is the built-in FM radio so you can tune in to your favourite station while you’re on the go.
This means you can leave your device at home and still have the radio to listen to and not have to worry about navigating your music. You can just concentrate on your workout.
Sound quality is good with crisp output and powerful bass that’s as much a result of the design as it from the technology on board.
There are better sounding earphones on the market but these are also a lot more expensive than the Jabra.
And there’s no worry that you’re going to ruin the Jabra Sport Wireless+ with your sweat while you’re training.
It’s rain, sweat and waterproof to a US military standard – whatever that means – but the bottom line it can handle your hardest training session.
The Jabra Sport Wireless+ earphones are available now and priced at $129.
