This week on The Best Movies You’ve Never Seen podcast we’re recasting our episode of Rocky to celebrate the film’s 50th Anniversary – the movie that put Sylvester Stallone on the map – he not only starred in the movie but he wrote it as well.
Rocky tells the story of down on his luck club fighter Rocky Balboa who gets the shot a lifetime to fight world champion Apollo Creed while he is falling in love with his best friend’s sister Adrian.
Stephen saw Rocky in the cinema when he was eight years old (so you can do the math on how old he is now) and this film and the sequels that followed because eseential repeat viewing. He has even done the Rocky tour in Philadelphia and run the famous steps himself.
Trevor at the time of recording was climbing in to the ring for the first time.
