JBL has launched the BandBox – an AI-powered amp and portable speaker built for musicians from beginners to experts.
The new JBL BandBox Solo and BandBox Trio offer real time vocal and instrument separation along with JBL’s signature sound and built-in effects and practice tools.
JBL has combined the features of a powerful portable speaker with an amplifier complete with musician-focused tools so you can practice, create and perform.

AI is at the heart of the BandBox which includes technology that allows users to isolate or remove vocals, guitar or drums from any track in real time.
This means you can learn a solo, rehearse with a friend or play along to your favourite song.
BandBox can create your own personal backing track that can be tailored to your instrument.
For example, if you play guitar, you can take out the guitar track and bring yourself into the track.

Users can stream music from any streaming platform or from any device to BandBox via Bluetooth.
The JBL BandBox Solo has been engineered for individual players.
Despite its small size, the JBL BandBox Solo is a fully featured musical tool that allows users to plug and play and create with ease.
It has one guitar/microphone so it will suit guitarists and singer-songwriters.

The JBL ONE app makes it possible to select from vintage and modern amps to match your mood and your style.
There are several presets or you can create your own track.
It has a built-in looper for rhythmic layering and solo creativity without requiring technical expertise or skills.
BandBox Trio is designed for group set ups with four instrument inputs which is ideal for small bands who want to have jam sessions and perform together without the need for a full set up.
Bands can balance levels, shape tone and apply effects right from the speaker courtesy of the four-channel mixer.
“The JBL BandBox was engineered with one goal: to meet the exact needs of musicians and blending it with cutting-edge technology. And here it is!” says Grace Koh, General Manager and Vice President, Consumer Audio, Harman Asia Pacific.
“The JBL BandBox is the first-ever speaker to feature the revolutionary on-device Stem AI algorithm – it’s right there, inside the speaker.
“This groundbreaking tech can instantly isolate and remove vocals or instruments from any song, all without needing the internet or the cloud.
“This is a massive leap forward. It makes practicing, making progress, and jamming with friends or solo easier than you ever thought possible.”
The JBL BandBox Solo ($369.95) and Trio ($799.95) are available online now exclusively at jbhifi.com.au and jbl.com.au.
