Spotify’s free music service has received a massive upgrade with new ways to listen, connect and share your favourite music.
Spotify has introduced new and improved features to make listening even smoother and enhance the way you find and consume the music and podcasts you love.
These new features have been four years in the making and give listeners more control over how they listen whether it’s searching and playing any track or listening to something that’s just being shared with you.
The new features include:
PICK AND PLAY
Is there a favourite song or a nagging earworm you need to hear? Now free Spotify users can pick and play any song they want.
SEARCH AND PLAY
You can type in the track you’re looking for and start listening instantly.
SHARE AND PLAY
Free Spotify users can now share favourite tracks with friends. And if an artist has shared a track on social you can listen to the track right there.
Spotify Free users can listen to songs via personalised playlists via editorial playlists curated by in-house experts or they can even make their own.
The more music and podcast you enjoy, the more Spotify can recommend more songs, artists and podcasts.
Free users can now also choose cover art for their playlist.
Listeners can discover new music using a daylist – a one of a kind playlist that reflects the type of music you like to listen to or to suit a specific mood or day of the week.
Users on the free experience will find their daily lists updated regularly with different songs and titles.
And if you like a specific daylist playlist you can copy and save it so will be available to revisit whenever you want.
Playlists like Discover Weekly are a great place to find new music that’s been personalised based on what you’ve been listening to.
And the more you use Spotify the better it is it at finding the tracks artists and genres that you will enjoy.
