Samsung has unveiled its new Galaxy A Series of affordable yet feature-packed smartphones which include AI and rugged construction and offer remarkable value.
The series includes the Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A26 5G which is for the first time incorporating the One UI 7 platform and Awesome Intelligence.
They will go on sale in Australia on March 27 and start from $499.

“With these awesome new features and capabilities, we are excited to unlock limitless creativity on the Galaxy A series while ensuring a safe, reliable and fun mobile experience.”
The Galaxy A devices all have 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED displays with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits brightness.
In terms of design, the A Series have a sleek and thin look with flat aluminium edges.
They are also rated at IP67 for water and dust resistance and have a Corning Glass cover for protection against cracks and scratches.
The Galaxy A Series Awesome Intelligence brings a selection of the most popular AI tools including Circle to Search which makes it easier to search and discover what’s around your through the device’s screen.
Also includes is Song Search to identify music you can hear playing nearby.
On the camera side the Galaxy A smartphones have triple camera systems on the rear panel and front-facing selfie camera.
They all have a 50MP main camera with an ultrawide (12MP – A56, 8MP A36 and A26) and macro (5MP – A56 and A36, 2MP – A26) camera.
On the front is a 10-bit HDR 12MP camera on the A56 and A36 and 13MP on the A26.
The Galaxy A56 includes a feature available on the Galaxy S25 Series – Best Face – which can take the best expression for each person in the shot to create the best result.
All the Galaxy A smartphones have Object Eraser to remove unwanted objects and other distractions from your photos so you end up with a clean image.
The devices are powered by Exynos 1580 chipset (A56) and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile (A36 and A26).
The entire line-up includes a 5,000mAh battery with the A56 and A36 capable of 45W charging and SuperFast Charge 2.0 technology.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Galaxy A series will go on sale on March 27, 2025.
– Galaxy A56 5G – $699 (8GB, 128GB), $799 (8GB, 256GB) – will be available in Awesome Olive and Awesome Graphite.
– Galaxy A36 5G – $549 – available in Awesome Lavender and Awesome Black.
– Galaxy A26 5G – $499 – available in Black.
