DJI’s Mini Pro 4 drone offers a complete aerial photography solution that fits in your hand

DJI has released the Mini 4 Pro – a 249g drone that manages to pack in a premium camera and omni-directional obstacle sensing in a chassis that fits in the palm of your hand.

Weighing less than 250g means the DJI Mini 4 Pro is exempt from drone regulations in most parts of the world and doesn’t require registration.

And, according to CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority), being under 250g allows users to fly safely within the 5.5km range of a controlled airspace.

“The Mini 4 Pro perfectly marries professional-grade capabilities while keeping its hallmark lightweight design, offering unmatched freedom and adaptability,” said Ferdinand Wolf, Creative Director at DJI.

“This drone emerges as the ultimate all-rounder, designed to elevate your creative toolkit.”

On the imaging side, the DJI Mini 4 Pro has a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor to shoot 48-megaoixel stills and 4K HDR video at up to 60fps and slo-mo 4K at 100fps.

Also onboard is an enhanced noise reduction algorithm to improve shooting images and videos in low light.

The Mini 4 Pro can also provide True Vertical Shooting to share on social media and to playback on smartphones.

And professional users will appreciate the 10-bit D-Log M recording for post-production colour grading and control.

You can also shoot 48-megapixel RAW and use SmartPhoto that can fuse HDR imaging, scene recognition and more for stunning results.

The Mini 4 Pro also offers worry free flying thanks to the omni-directional obstacle sensing which uses wide angle sensors and downward vision sensors so it can detect obstructions in all directions.

Flight time is up to 34 minutes with the regular battery and that can be extended to up to 45 minutes using the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus.

Users can also set waypoints and fly an automatic route and set up cruise control for long-distance steady flights while you focus on the photography.

The DJI Mini 4 Pro also has a Return to Home (RTH) feature that can return to drone to its launch point at the press of a button.

The drone can also lock on to and track moving objects with ActiveTrack 360 and has a range of intelligent features to get the right shot including:

– MasterShots: Delivers dynamic camera movement templates tailored for portrait, close-up, and long-range shots, ensuring you nail every shot!

– QuickShots: Provides Dronie, Circle, Helix, Rocket, Boomerang, and Asteroid modes for more stylish results.

– Hyperlapse: Provides Free, Waypoint, Circle, and Course Lock modes with unlimited shooting time, and supports compositing while shooting.

– Panorama: Supports shooting 180°, Wide Angle, Vertical, and Sphere panoramic photos to capture magnificent landscapes.

– QuickTransfer: Quickly transfer photos and videos to your smartphone without linking the remote controller. Your creations will be instantly ready to share.

There are also a range of DJI accessories for the Mini 4 Pro:

– DJI Mini 4 Pro Wide-Angle Vision: Capture vast landscapes through the super-wide 100° FOV of the wide-angle lens.

– DJI Mini 4 Pro ND Filters Set (ND16/64/256): Adapt to challenging lighting scenarios with precision using ND16/64/256 filters, ensuring readiness for the perfect images.

– DJI Mini 4 Pro 360° Propeller Guard: Enhance flight safety effortlessly with the complete coverage provided by the 360° propeller guard, designed to be attached and detached with ease.
