DJI unveils Mavic 3 Pro drone which includes a triple camera system

DJI has just unveiled the flagship Mavic 3 Pro drone with an all-new triple camera system that will allow aerial photographers to unleash their creativity.

The DJI Mavic 3 pro has the Mavic’s signature Hasselblad camera along with two tele cameras all with different focal lengths to offer photographers even more creative choices.

“At DJI we are constantly evolving our products to help capture fascinating scenery and explore visual storytelling through both video and stills,” said Ferdinand Wolf, Creative Director at DJI.

“The Mavic 3 Pro’s triple camera combination gives users the ability to switch between shot composition with just one tap, allowing content creators a wider variety of shots in less time than ever before.

“We can’t wait to see the end result of how people use the drone to alter the viewers’ perception of space and distance.”

The drone’s triple camera system offers 24mm, 70mm and 166mm focal lengths which allows for wide angle shots, medium tele and focusing in on a particular area, object or person.

The medium tele camera (70mm format equivalent) can be used in a variety of scenarios from framing buildings to cars in commercial shoots.

With the 1/1.3-inch CMOS Sensor and 3x optical zoom it is capable of 48MP/12MP photos and 4K 60fps video with support for the new D-log M.

Under the hood is the 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera of the Mavic 3 Series which supports 12-bit RAW photos with up to 12.8 stops of native dynamic range.

On the video side, users can achieve professional specifications with 5.1K/50fps or DCI 4K/120fps.

Mavic 3 Pro Cine offers extensive options for professional photographers with support for Apple ProRes 422 HQ, Apple ProRes 422 an Apple ProRes 422 LT encoding.

The drone also has a built in 1TB SSD and 10Gbps lightspeed data cable to speed up the professional workflow

The Mavic 3 Pro has a flight time of up to an impressive 43 minutes which means a photographer can worry more about shot composition rather than constantly looking at the battery level.

On the safety side, the drone has eight wide angle vision sensors that work with the high performance vision computing engine to sense obstacles in every direction.

Additional features include:

– Waypoint Flight: Automatically plans a flight route based on the user’s preset waypoints and can precisely repeat routes.

– Cruise Control: Set Mavic 3 Pro to fly in any direction without continually pressing the control sticks for smoother camera movement during long-distance manual control.

– Advanced RTH: Automatically determines a safe and efficient flight route back to its home point, easily bypassing obstacles on the RTH path.

DJI’s Signature Intelligent Features:

– FocusTrack: The Hasselblad camera and the medium tele camera of Mavic 3 Pro support FocusTrack, which includes ActiveTrack 5.0, Spotlight, and Point of Interest, enabling stable tracking shots in multiple directions.

– MasterShots: MasterShots are enabled with just one tap and the drone will automatically shoot, edit, add soundtracks to automatically generate cinematic footage.

– QuickShots: Perform diverse camera movements like Dronie, Rocket, Circle, and Helix.

– Panorama: compose a 100MP lossless panorama photo to capture a more extensive and magnificent landscape.
