If you own a recent model Samsung TV there’s probably a nice surprise waiting for you. There’s a whole bunch of extra free channels waiting for you following the quiet launch in Australia of Samsung TV Plus.

Samsung TV Plus is a free TV service that, once installed on your TV, will be found when scrolling through your free to air channels despite the fact that they are all streamed through your internet connection.

There are hundreds of channels available on the service across news, entertainment, bingeable TV shows, sports, outdoors, lifestyle, kids, comedy, tech, gaming, movies and music.

There are more than 150 channels and growing on Samsung TV Plus but only 30 of them are now available in Australia at this stage with that number set to expand in the future.

Some of the channels in Australia include Bloomberg TV+, Made In Hollywood, Timeline, Wonder, Horse and Country, Gusto TV and many more.

Users can also download the Samsung TV Plus app on Samsung mobile devices going back to the Galaxy S9 and all the Galaxy smartphones launched ever since.

And not only do you get the channels for free but some of them are even in 4K.

When viewing the channels on your Samsung TV, the channels will appear in the guide.

To get Samsung TV Plus on your Samsung TV, you don’t have to do anything.

One of our Samsung TVs already had Samsung TV Plus already onboard and our other more recent TV didn’t.

We looked in the more recent TV’s app store and it wasn’t there.

We also looked for a software update and even retuned the TV and it still wasn’t there.

We guess it will be pushed out to different recent Samsung TVs at different times.

If you don’t have it – just be patient. It will be there soon.

If you own a recent TV from 2019 and 2020 and you do have the new channels you will notice the Samsung TV Plus icon beside when you hit the home symbol on your remote.

Here is the full list of channels:

– BOUNTY +

– BLOOMBERG TV+

– DRYBAR COMEDY

– DUST ANTHOLOGY
