Seagate’s new drives can back up your computer and mobile devices

seagateslim2Seagate has released two new hard drives designed to provide added storage space and an easy way to back up your computer and your mobile device.

The Seagate Back Up Plus FAST and the Back Up Plus Slim are both sleek external drives which can store your valuable content like photos, music, videos and documents.

Each device has a USB 3.0 interface to deliver transfer speeds of up to 220MB per second.

SEAGATE BACK UP PLUS FAST – $409

The Seagate Back Up Plus FAST is the world’s first portable drive with 4TB capacity which means it’s perfect for users who need to move around large files.

People like photographers and videographers will be able use the device on location to store their latest batch of images or videos.

And with a metal case and sturdy design it can handle be taken out into the field while being resistant to scratches and fingerprints.

There is also no need for an external power supply to run the Seagate Back Up Plus FAST and it is compact enough to easily fit into a backpack or camera bag.

The device also includes software to provide a one-click back-up solution for your computer whether it’s a PC or a Mac.

And if you download the free Seagate Mobile Back Up app it is also possible to wirelessly back up your iOS or Android device to the Seagate Back Up Plus FAST drive.

SEAGATE BACK UP PLUS SLIM – $99 (500GB), $119 (1TB), $189 (2TB)

Seagate’s Back Up Plus Slim is not called slim for nothing. The device is the world’s thinnest 2TB external hard drive at just 12.1mm.

Apart from its compact design, the drive also features USB 3.0 connectivity for fast file transfer and software to make backing up your computer or mobile device a breeze.

The Seagate Dashboard also makes it possible to back up photos that you’ve already shared on social media to sites like Facebook and Flickr.

The Seagate Back Up Plus Slim drive is only 12.1mm thick

Even photos that you’ve been tagged in can be backed up from your social networks to the Seagate Back Up Plus Slim drive.

The Seagate Back Up Plus FAST and the Seagate Back Up Plus Slim are available in stores now.
