Airports can be a busy, stressful place but the official apps for each of Australia’s main airports can put the right info in your hands to make your trip smoother.
Android and iOS smartphone apps for each of Australia’s busiest airports – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth – provide useful terminal and flight information.
The apps can let you check arrival and departure times for every flight at that particular airport and can also let you know if flights have been delayed.
For travellers, the app can tell you right terminal, where the airline’s check-in desk is and even the gate number for your departure.

And when you’ve arrived at your destination it can also tell you what gate you’ll be arriving through and the carousel number to collect your luggage.
That arrival information is also handy for family and friends who are organising to pick up someone up from the airport.

There’s also transport information to get to and from the airport by train, bus or taxi as well as parking information if you’re driving yourself.
Drivers can get turn-by-turn directions through the built-in link Google Maps.

Users will also find terminal maps to find your way around the airport plus information and directions to shops, restaurants, books and magazines and currency exchanges.
The Sydney Airport, Melbourne Airport, Brisbane Airport, Perth Airport and Adelaide Airport apps are free and available now from the Google Play store and Apple’s App Store.
