ASUS is celebrating two decades of the popular Republic of Gamers brand with a limited edition ROG XBOX Ally X20 – its new flagship portable gaming PC.
The Ally X20 has a 7.4-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED display for deeper blacks, stunning colour and higher peak brightness along with precision controls for a more vibrant and responsive portable gaming experience.
The device features TMR joystick technology for even greater precision along with an improved Transforming D-Pad for stunning accuracy to make it the perfect platform for all gaming genres.
And it’s all housed in a commemorative translucent black chassis with gold accents to clearly identify it as a collector’s item celebrating ROG’s 20-year anniversary.
“The way Australians play has changed significantly over the last two decades, and our hardware needed to evolve as well,” said Brad Howe, Head of Consumer for ASUS Australia.
“Gaming is now a shared family activity, but dedicated players are also looking for more premium, uncompromised experiences that can serve as a genuine alternative to a traditional PC setup.
“The ROG XBOX Ally X20 is the result of listening to both.
“We’ve upgraded the screen and controls for a console-quality experience you can hold, while providing a versatile device that solves the one TV problem for the modern gaming family.”
The ROG XBOX Ally X20 is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor. With 24GB high-speed LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB SSD.
This is the flagship device of the Ally family, which offers a device for every type of player.
Included in the lineup are the original ROG XBOX Ally and the ROG XBOX Ally X, which have improved ergonomics and longer battery life.
The new ROG XBOX Ally X20 now sits at the top of the lineup as the ultimate collector’s edition and ushers in the next evolution of ROG handheld gaming hardware.
“We believe in providing options for every type of player,” added Howe.
“The expanded Ally family ensures that whether you’re a casual gamer or an enthusiast who demands the absolute best, there’s an Ally for you.
“The X20 is the hero of that family, a device that proves you don’t have to compromise on performance, even when you’re away from the TV.”
There are two configurations for the ROG XBOX Ally X20.
The standalone device suits multi-gamer households, allowing families to add a premium console-quality screen without needing a second TV.
For the supreme individual experience a premium bundle that includes the exclusive ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR glasses, ROG XD Brand Kill Switch case, and a ROG X Pelican Protector case is also available.
The ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses is even more immersive with the onboard OLED 240Hz display providing the equivalent of a 171-inch virtual screen at 4m.
