Dyson has launched the HushJet Mini Cool fan, a small portable fan designed to be used as a wearable, on your desk or in your hand.
Dyson has taken 17 years of airflow engineering and shrunk it down into a device you can hold in the palm of your hand.
The device weighs just 212g so it’s easy to carry around and keep by your side day and night.
Priced at $169, the HushJet Mini Cool Fan has a six-hour battery and can achieve air flow speeds of up to 25m/s and is powered by a brushless DC motor spinning at up to 65,000 RPM.
There are five air flow speeds, including a Boost Mode for extra power so you can be cool in any environment.
And at 38mm wide HushJet Mini Cool Fan is the same diameter shared by the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer and the Dyson Pencil Vac.
“Since 2009, we’ve been obsessed with airflow. Mastering air projection, reducing turbulence, and refining thermal technology,” says chief engineer Jake Dyson.
“The HushJet Mini Cool fan is the culmination of that journey: powerful airflow, engineered for life on the move by bringing elite cooling technology from every home to your hand.”
The HushJet Mini Cool Fan can be used in a variety of scenarios, whether you’re outside, working at the office, commuting, travelling, or at a summer festival.
Dyson has also prioritised acoustics as much as power.
The HushJet is also whisper quiet thanks to the acoustic work done to low frequencies and eliminate the high-pitched whirring and whining motors.
It comes with a neck dock, a charging stand, a USB-C cable and a travel pouch.
Other accessories include a Universal Mount so it can be fastened to items such as prams and a Grip Clip which can attach the fan to bag straps or jackets.
The HushJet Mini Cool Fan will be priced at $169 and available in Ink/Cobalt, Carnelian/Sky and Stone/Blush,
Availability will be announced in the coming weeks.
