SKWheel has produced the world’s first electric skis and, unlike regular skis, you don’t need to be heading downhill on snow or be dragged by a speedboat. You can enjoy skiing – anywhere.
On display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the SKWheel Peak electric skis have two wheels each and can fit your foot like a normal ski.
But that’s where the similarity ends.
Each ski has an electric motor that’s capable of reaching speeds of up to 60km/h.
Onboard is patented technology that simulate skiing and gives users the ability to speed up and slow down and change direction with the natural pivot and tilt.
SKWheel Peak has a removable rechargeable battery which gives the user a range of up to 40km.
And they can be used in all kinds of services including asphalt, gravel, grass and dirt trails.
They are built with a reinforced chassis to offer high torque, maximum strength and high stability on all terrains.
Also built into the skis is a car flock the offers added comfort and enhanced control as you would have wearing a ski boot.
The unit has a hand controller with an incorporated dual braking system so you can slow down and speed up smoothly.
There are 4 speed modes and a control button with a wheel so you can easily accelerate and brake and change your driving mode.
SKWheel Is available in two models – Peak for city use (990 Euros) and Peak S ($1,490 Euros) which is designed to handle all terrains.
