Samsung has announced the pricing and availability of its first interactive triple laser ultra short throw projector – the Premiere 5 – which is designed to turn every room into an interactive content space.
The Premiere 5 features interactive touch floor projection capabilities along with the ability to offer cinematic viewing at up to 100-inches.
The Premiere 5 has now gone on sale at Samsung’s online store and retailers nationwide including Harvey Norman. It is priced at $2,999.
The unit has a compact design which means it can be easily moved room to room and set up in various spaces around your house.
The Premiere 5 can also mirror content from a smartphone or tablet via SmartThings or Apple AirPlay 2.
The Premiere 5’s stand has a built-in infrared camera and an infrared laser module to provide touch based interactions.
This means the unit can transform the surface it is being projected on into an interactive touch screen.
This would allow users to play smartphone games, enjoy art, movies and more.
Multiview and web browser compatibility also makes the Premiere 5’s touch enabled floor projection useful for a range of purposes including education and business.
“The Premiere 5 is designed to go beyond content to deliver immersive, engaging and memorable experiences that bring people together or support productivity in new ways,” says Simon Howe, Director – Audio Visual, Samsung Australia.
“By combining Samsung’s big screen picture quality with a compact design and user-centric functionality, we are providing Australians with more screen options that enable them to use their screen tailored to the way that suits their needs.”
Under the hood is Samsung’s triple laser technology which offers vivid colour and high contrast with screen sizes from 40 inches all the way up to 100-inch.
The unit can even detect the level of surrounding light thanks to its vision boosted technology and optimise the colour, contrast and brightness so the screen remains sharp and clear even in bright rooms.
And being an ultra-short throw projector, the Premiere 5 can project cinematic size screens from just 12cm from the wall which saves space and maximises impact.
On the audio side, the Premiere 5 has an integrated sound system featuring QSymphony, Active Voice Amplifier Pro and Adaptive Sound Pro.
The 10W two channel speaker system offers immersive audio that works hand in hand with the stunning visuals and removes the need to plug in external speakers.
Users will enjoy loads of free content through the Premiere 5 via Samsung’s Smart Hub including access to more than 300 free channels with Samsung TV Plus.
And gamers can take advantage of the unit’s versatility through the Premiere 5’s Gaming Hub which offers instant access to popular gaming platforms and services along with low latency performance for a next level gaming experience.
The unit also has an ambient mode so it can project images to create a mood or change the ambiance of a space.
Setup is simple thanks to the autofocus and auto keystone so you can be enjoying your content in minutes.
The Premiere 5 is now available for $2,999 from Samsung’s Online Store and leading retailers nationwide including Harvey Norman.
