Sennheiser has launched its new Momentum Sport earbuds which have been designed to deliver superior audio as well as heart rate and body temperature readings.
Designed for athletes and sports enthusiasts, the Sennheiser Momentum Sport earbuds can act as in-ear sensors to capture vital information to help customers reach their fitness goals.

The earbuds utilise a photoplethysmography (PPG) heart rate sensor and body temperature sensor with the data viewable on popular fitness apps like Strava, Peloton Apple Health and devices like Apple Watch and Garmin Watch
The Sennheiser Momentum Sport earbuds can provide the right music to motivate users to improve their performance while now tracking their data.
The inner ear is an ideal area to harness these readings because it is one of the most stable areas of the body during exercise and will provide consistent data.
In-ear readings are considered more accurate than wrist-skin temperatures with the earbuds able offer accuracy to within 0.3 degrees Celsius.
Also onboard is a three-axis accelerometer and capacitive touch and infrared sensors which can be used to manage audio playback and calls.
And being sports earbuds, they can naturally handle sweat and rain with an IP55 rating so there is no limit to when and where you exercise.
On the audio side, the Sennheiser earbuds have a new 10mm transducer for stunning sound and strong bass.
The earbuds also reduce the occlusion effect with an acoustic relief channel so you’re not feeling your steps and breathing in your head.
It has a semi-open design so you can stay connected to your environment with transparency mode, anti-wind noise and adaptive noise cancelling mode.
The charging case offers three full recharges for the earphones which on their will play for up to six hours.
A quick 10-minute charge can offer up to 45 minutes of playback.
The Sennheiser Momentum Sport earbuds are priced at $529.95 and are available in three colours – Polar Black, Burned Olive and Metallic Graphite.
