Laser has announced its second-generation range of affordable CONNECT smart home devices with a wider line-up of lighting options, security cameras and solar panels and smart water controllers.
CONNECT entered the smart home market in early 2020 with $10 smart light bulbs and these new products expand on that value offering to bring smart home technology within reach of more customers.
The new CONNECT smart lighting solutions offer users creative and stylish options while still being very competitively priced.
The light bulbs are now available in a vintage filament-style design to not only offer smart home convenience but a new look as well.
There are also new fairy light and NEON strip light options as well.
CONNECT products have also expanded outdoors with the Smart Outdoor 1080P Camera with Solar Panel that’s priced below $200. It has a waterproof design, night vision and motion detection.
On the security side, CONNECT has another product – a connected door lock which offers four access methods.
The Smart Deadbolt can be unlocked with a fingerprint, a smart card, a key and with a passcode.
CONNECT also released a solar-powered water controller which can regulate your garden watering controller so you can set watering schedules and also see how much water you’ve bene using.
There are now more than 2.6 million Australian households with at least one smart product and a third of homes having more than one.
And this number is set to increase by 92.4 per cent by 2024, according to a recent Telstye study, to an average 35.6 devices per household.
And the recent lockdowns brought on by the COVID pandemic has only accelerated this trend because of the additional time we’ve been spending at home.
In 2020 alone, the smart home segment grew by more than 30 per cent as we look for ways to make our homes more secure, energy efficient and convenient.
