The Belkin SoundForm headphones are priced well below $100 and offer incredible value and impressive quality. They will truly exceed your expectations and won’t drain your bank account doing it.

  • RATING
Pros
  • Great value
  • Comfortable fit
  • Impressive audio quality
  • Decent Active Noise Cancellation
Cons
  • They don't fold flat
  • No storage pouch

When it comes to offering value tech that punches well above its weight, Belkin is most definitely on the podium and the company has done it yet again with its new SoundForm Surround and SoundForm Isolate over ear headphones that are priced well under $100.

We’ve reviewed countless headphones over the years – and many that cost several hundreds of dollars. Naturally these expensive models sounded amazing but at that price we expected nothing less.

Belkin’s latest SoundForm headphones have set a new standard for quality and value and proven undoubtedly that you don’t need to spend huge money to enjoy impressive sound and active noise cancellation (ANC).

The Belkin SoundForm Surround is priced at just $69.95 and the SoundForm Isolate with ANC is $89.95. You read that right – active noise cancelling headphones for $89.95.

In terms of design the Belkin headphones are identical. Both share a comfortable and adjustable fit with padded earcups so can listen for hours.

Under the hood are 40mm drivers with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Music has a warm feel with plenty of detail and a reasonable amount of bass thrown in. And listening to spoken word content like a podcast or audiobook its also crisp and clear.

The headphones are both foldable for easy storage and to make it easier to pack in your back for your trip or commute.

Each also has a 3.5mm jack for wired listening and offer up to 60 hours of playtime on a single charge.

That’s enough to fly from Sydney to London and back and then jump in a flight from Sydney to LA – and all without a single recharge.

BELKIN SOUNDFORM SURROUND – $69.95

The SoundForm Surround offer passive noise cancellation – what Belkin calls Environmental Noise Cancellation – thanks to the pads on the ear cups that provide a seal from the outside world.

They do turn down the noise around you so you can focus on what you’re listening to or what you’re reading and working on.

For a pair of headphones at this price they offer remarkable sound quality you can enjoy everywhere every day.

They also have Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity which allows for dual-device pairing.

The Belkin SoundForm Surround headphones also have a built-in microphone so you can still make and receive calls in reasonable quality without taking them off.

Onboard is ClearCall technology which definitely live up to their name while reducing background noise at the same time.

This feature also comes in handy if you’re on a video call whether you’re working from home or catching up with friends.

BELKIN SOUNDFORM ISOLATE – $89.95

In terms of value – it’s really hard to beat the SoundForm Isolate headphones which has Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) onboard.

Belkin’s ANC combines feedforward and feedback microphones to reduce noise by up to 25 decibels.

The result is surprising and noticeably reduces the ambient noise around you whether you’re on public transport, on a flight or in a busy office.

For the price, the Belkin SoundForm Isolate perform incredibly well.

We’re not saying the ANC is better than what you would get with a $500 pair of headphones but it more than holds its own and provides a nice reduction in the volume of your environment.

The headphones have three listening modes: Belkin Signature Sound, ANC and Hear Thru.

It also has Bluetooth 5.4 onboard, multipoint connectivity and ClearCall.

VERDICT

The Belkin SoundForm headphones are priced well below $100 and offer incredible value and impressive quality. They will truly exceed your expectations and won’t drain your bank account doing it.
