Modern technology gives us many things.

Belkin adds USB-C to MIXIT DuraTek range of tough cables

USB-C is now the connection of choice on the latest smartphones, tablets and laptops and Belkin has just included a USB-C version in the MIXIT DuraTek cable range that are built extra tough.

Belkin’s MIXIT DureTek cables are reinforced with Kevlar fibre giving them added strength and durability.

They are also covered in double braided nylon so they can handle bending and stresses that would damage a regular cable.

Lightning and microUSB cables have been a hit in the MIXIT DureTek range and USB-C is now the latest addition.

Belkin CEO and founder Chet Pipkin started making cables on his parents’ dining room table in 1983 to connect the Apple IIc computer to a printer.

“We’ve made our DuraTek cables so strong because we know that ordinary cables aren’t tough enough to endure the challenges we put them through. After all, cables should be made to serve us, not the other way around,” said Oliver Seil, vice president of design, Belkin.

“We also did not want to compromise on elegance and aesthetic appeal while reinforcing the structure, so we started from the inside out and redesigned the way we construct a cable.

“We were inspired by industrial cabling, race car and aerospace construction methods, and tested many construction methods to finally arrive at the best cable we have ever made. I am immensely proud of our team’s accomplishment.”
