ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has launched the Zephyrus Duo at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It is the world’s first dual screen OLED gaming laptop and powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra processor along with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.
There are two 16-inch 3K ROG Nebula HDR OLED touchscreens which creates more than 21 inches of total diagonal screen space on a single laptop.
That adds up to a portable gaming powerhouse so you can enjoy flagship gaming and content creation anywhere.
The Zephyrus Duo has five dedicated modes to enhance workflow and gameplay.
On the design side, the unit is housed in a CNC-milled aluminium chassis with a striking Stellar Grey colorway.
It also comes with a detachable magnetic keyboard so the laptop can return to regular mode between games and sessions.
The new Duo redefines the portable personal workstation and what it’s capable of.
The main screen supports NVIDIA G-SYNC so you get crisp motion any zero ghosting in games.
It offers 1100 nits of peak brightness and VESA Display HDR True Black 1000 certification.
The detachable magnetic keyboard can be used as a standard laptop keyboard but can connect wirelessly to the laptop in any mode when removed.
It also has an ultra large touchpad which allows for easier navigation and multi-touch functionality no matter which mode the Zephyrus Duo is being used.
There is a 90-degree kickstand and 320-degree rotation on the hinge to support five dedicated operation modes.
Dual Mode utilises the kickstand and removes the keyboard to give an instant multi-monitor experience with no dongles or cables required.
In Laptop Mode it operates as a standard 16-inch laptop with the keyboard right below the main screen.
In Sharing Mode, it sets the Duo flat at 180-degrees with each screen facing a meeting member for quick collaboration.
Book Mode sits both screens in the portrait orientation which is ideal for applications like web browsers and coding tools where you need many lines visible at one time.
And finally, Tent Mode sets the screen up high and has the hinge in an A shape allowing two people to play games together.
From one or all these modes, the Zephyrus Duo is out to reinvent what’s possible in a laptop.
Under the hood is the latest Intel processor, a 16-core 32-thread multitasking beast that can easily handle any application or AAA game.
“Every step of the way, I have been impressed at the incredible things that happen when our two great engineering-led cultures come together,” said Josh Newman, VP of Product Marketing at Intel.
“This new portfolio for ROG Zephyrus products powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra processors is truly incredible!”
The Zephyrus Duo has been paired with an NVIDIA GE force RTX 509-O laptop GPU so can suit hardcore gamers and creators equally.
This flagship GPU can handle the latest games in AI features so the gamers can enjoy pumped up resolution, improved texture and fidelity in all the latest titles.
