Samsung has showcased its vision for AI in the home at IFA 2025 in Berlin – and it’s already a reality for Australians who want to improve their lives, add convenience and efficiency, monitor their health, save money and stay safe.
In Berlin, Samsung outlined its AI Home approach which it device into four pillars – ease, care, save and secure.
These are the main areas where SmartThings, Samsung products and other smart device work together for our benefit.
Samsung is in a very strong position in the Home AI space – they have smart TVs, smart appliances and smartphones and can offer a solid foundation for customers who want to make their homes smarter and more energy efficient.
Ease: we all want more convenience in our lives and from devices knowing us, seeing our data and knowing our habits, the Samsung Home AI will be proactive and suggest things you haven’t thought of yet instead just reacting to your actions.
Save: this is mainly saving energy and could lead to a decent reduction in your energy and water bills.
Samsung’s products and appliance are already efficient but they can see how you use them and show you how much energy you’re using, compare that to previous months and suggest a way you can use less.
Care is a big one and covers so many things starting with personal care like sleep monitoring and suggestions on how to improve.
Care can also come in the form of a healthy diet that Samsung’s can help you with – it knows what food you put inside it and can suggest nutritious recipes.
But care can also extend to people outside your home like elderly parents and grandparents. It possible through their smart devices to see, for example, how many times they open the fridge in the morning.
If that number drops you can check in on them.
And secure means, thanks to Knox, none of your data is ever shared outside your home and is stored securely on your smartphone and other devices.
“For ten years, Samsung has been making devices smarter, more connected, and customisable to blend into your lifestyle,” says Phil Gaut, director of consumer electronics for Samsung Australia.
“With AI Home, we’re taking the next step forward by making our connected ecosystem of products smarter, more personalised, and even more secure, offering Australians more convenience to help their day flow effortlessly.”
“Whether you’re at home, at work, or on the move, your Bespoke appliance, Galaxy device, and Samsung Smart TV will work together in the background to save you time, money and energy while keeping your data safe and private, making smart living a reality today for everyone to benefit from, not just a select few.”

Samsung’s own research has found that Australians are embracing AI as a significant force in their life.
Three in four Australians (75 per cent) see AI as a game-changing innovation in their everyday lives and present numerous possibilities.
The survey showed 32 per cent are already using AI to save power and water while 44 per cent think it will say it will streamline their workload.
A healthy 36 per cent say AI is helping them stay connected to loved ones and 34 per cent are relying on tech to help organise their day from managing a shopping list to scheduling appointments.
